The Mass Spectrometry Laboratory (MSL) is a part of the Molecular Structures Group (MSG) at KU. We are a research resource with a primary mission to provide collaboration and service in chemical analysis by mass spectrometry and to educate investigators on the uses of mass spectrometry as a research tool. The MSL's sister lab the APL was created to provide the KU research community with expertise in protein identification, analysis of protein primary structure and post-translational modifications.
Samples may be submitted in room B025 or room 3007
of Mallot Hall (see the footer for the address). If
you fill out the sample submission forms completely
this should be all the information we need to perform
routine analyses on small molecules. For proteins, separations
or any other analysis, you will need to talk to Todd
Williams or Bob Drake
to discuss the relevant parameters. Samples may be mailed
to the address at the end of this page; however, please
contact the lab before mailing.
